What is Lamination

Single Sided Lamination

Usually using pressure sensitive (or cold) film, this method enables to protect the print on one side using different finishes and textures depending on the type of film applied, i.e. mat, satin, gloss and sandgrain for both indoor and outdoor use.

Encapsulation

Generally run with hot thermal laminating film. However, our laminating machines offer without any option the capacity to encapsulate jobs with pressure sensitive (or cold) films.

The print is protected on both sides with thermal film applied simultaneously. The thickness varies from 42 micron to 250 micron per side depending on the rigidity required on the finished product. By over lapping a couple of millimetres from the edge of the graphic the image will be protected against water.

Adhesive Mounting

Applies a double-sided adhesive film on the print or on its back in order to prepare it for gluing or mounting on to any substrate.

Mounting

All PFS laminating machines would make the mounting operation of a graphic, laminated or not, on any rigid product very easy, i.e. PVC, foam boards, aluminium, glass, wood etc up to 50mm thick.
